    following facilities:

        1. Telecommunication offices (Central Offices and Remotes)
        2. Cellular sites
        3. Law enforcement facilities
        4. Medical facilities
        5. Business offices
        6. Government facilities
        7. Other areas on a case by case request

About Grounding Audits

Grounding Audits are conducted according to standards or procedures set up by the operating companies, manufactures of the equipment in use, IEEE, UL, the Federal Government and GSSI's standard. We have conducted nearly 500 Grounding Audits within the US, Canada and Central America.

Areas of concern consist of the following:

   1. The integrated equipment or CBN, including but not limited to: Relay racks, Cable racks, Battery racks, Cable Vault, MDF, dc Power Plant, spare parts cabinet, vendor equipment, broadband equipment.

   2. Measure ac and dc current on all Ground Bars. Examples are: Master Ground Bar; FGB, LRE, FBE, ICB, Ground Window, MDFGB, CEGB, etc.

   3. The Isolated equipment or IBN: Digital equipment frames, vendor equipment, Ground Bars within the IBN, lighting, inverters, look for and define ground loops, and other areas of the isolated Ground zone or ground plane, the Single Point Ground, etc.

   4.Towers: Sites with co-located towers are a major concern. All tower grounding shall be inspected, guys checked for grounding if any in use, cable shield grounding and bonding, cable hatch-plates or entrance plates inspected for proper grounding, ice bridges checked, etc. Towers with lights inspected for surge protection. Surge protection devices on coaxial cables inspected for grounding and other problems.

   5. Measure the office Ground Field if possible for the required low resistance.

   6. Generate a written report listing all violations found and recommend corrective action, also list recommended improvements. Use CAD drawings and photos to point out violations or general information.
